Eucalyptus Deglupta

"Eucalyptus deglupta"

The Eucalyptus deglupta tree, sometimes called "rainbow bark" due to it's beautiful varied bark of many colors. It is a fast growing tree that can reach up to 200 feet in height with a straight trunk that can get up to 8 feet in diameter.

The wood of a mature tree is pale reddish brown with the appearance and working characteristics similar to lauan of the Philippines. The wood, although lightweight, has been used succesfully in furniture, cabinet work and boats. Eucalyptus deglupta also takes stain easily, therefore it can be adapted to many different uses.

Eucalyptus Deglupta is stocked in 4/4 and 8/4 thickness and retails for $3.25 a board foot.
