Kamani "Calophyllum inophyllum" This beautiful tree grows at lower elevations and can be found near seashores througout Hawaii. Kamani is a medium to large tree that can grow 40-60 feet in height and 1 to 2 plus feet at the trunk. The wood of the Kamani is moderately dense and the color is a beautiful red to reddish brown. Kamani has been used to make beautiful floors, bowls, doors, and other wooden crafts. Kamani is stocked in 4/4 and 8/4 thickness and retails for $5.90 a board foot.
